In a world filled with chaos and illogical events, I welcome this man's reasonable point of view.
To me, his clear expression of wisdom, humility, and intelligence, makes him a peacemaker. This video made my day. I hope it helps you to see what's possible, too. "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." ~Matthew 5:9 "Reason is the most active human faculty. Let that inform the sentiments and awaken the man's dormant sense of moral obligation..." ~Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy

In this video, Sonia Singh tells her story of "undermaking" thrift store dolls. She takes off their makeup, dresses them in age appropriate clothes, and reveals their natural beauty.
In the same way, we can see below the material surface of things and discover our natural beauty, which is actually a spiritual quality. Here are some thoughts on the spiritual nature of beauty from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: "As the physical and material, the transient sense of beauty fades, the radiance of Spirit should dawn upon the enraptured sense with bright and imperishable glories" (p. 246). "Each succeeding year unfolds wisdom, beauty, and holiness" (p. 246). "Beauty is a thing of life, which dwells forever in the eternal Mind and reflects the charms of His goodness in expression, form, outline, and color. It is Love which paints the petal with myriad hues, glances in the warm sunbeam, arches the cloud with the bow of beauty, blazons the night with starry gems, and covers earth with loveliness" (p. 247). "Love never loses sight of loveliness. Its halo rests upon its object. One marvels that a friend can ever seem less than beautiful" (p. 248). "Love, redolent with unselfishness, bathes all in beauty and light" (p. 516). |
